Facilities/Maintenance Technician I - Post Falls, ID
ALK Source Materials, Inc., (ASM) a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK-Abello group of companies, is recruiting for our Facilities/Maintenance Technician I position. Join our stable and growing company and provide leadership and expertise to our workforce located in our 120,000 square foot facility in Post Falls, ID.
The Facilities/Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance activities for the facility and production equipment, including but not limited to; preventative and tactical maintenance, installation, repairs and potential upgrades of automated production equipment and mechanical systems. The position also ensures maintenance activities are documented within established maintenance database and associated forms, along with helping implement manufacturing processes for the company’s new and existing products, including overseeing installations of equipment and/or relocating equipment. Facilities/Maintenance Technicians also contact and monitor performance of outside vendors to perform building and/or equipment maintenance services. Procurement responsibilities including vendor identification and evaluations, competitive bidding processes, market scanning and vendor relationship building. Lastly, the position is responsible for monitoring efficiency of production equipment, facility equipment and/or systems and communicates those efficiencies to facility manager, process engineers and production managers.
The successful candidate shall have high school diploma or equivalent, be technically minded with up to 2 years related work experience and a genuine desire to contribute to an exceptional team. Demonstration of excellent communication skills and teamwork are a must. While the position is day shift, candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekend, and being On-Call when required.
All positions at ASM require the ability to comfortably work around deceased stinging insects, allergenic materials, hazardous chemicals and solvents and laboratory reagents.
